Chinese Creative Industries Forum 2012, Second Conference

Highlights

The second conference of Chinese Creative Industries Forum 2012, which is co-organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao S.A.R. Government, Macao Polytechnic Institute, Hong Kong Institute of Contemporary Culture and supported by the Committee of Cultural Industries of the S.A.R. Government and Zuni Icosahedron,will be held at the Macao Polytechnic Institute on 2nd - 4th November.  Registration is now open until 30th October.

The mission of the Chinese Creative Industries Forum (CCIF) is to be a think tankand platform to connect creative industries stakeholders in the Greater China creative ecology – policy makers, investors, educators and creative professionals – through applied research and conferencesso as to strengthen cross-sector and cross-disciplinary communication and exchange, and build up intellectual resources and networks for the development of the creative industries in Greater China.

The theme of this year research is “The Making of ‘Creative Cities’: Dynamics of Public Administration, Regulations and Process in the Construction of Creative Citie”s and the mid-term reports of this research will be published during the second conference of CCIF 2012.   Speakers and researchers from the United Kingdom, United States of America, China, Korea, Singapore and etc will be invited.  They will share their research on the public polices of different countries and will discuss how ‘Creative Cities’ and other relevant projects nurture the culture and creativity of  a country and enhance the development of the cultural and creative industry.
