C-Shop - A High-end, Stylish Store "C"

February 05, 2013 12:14:40

Spaces and Facilities

Located at Avenida Doctor Mário Soares, Macao, the C-Shop is a building designed by the famous local architect Carlos Marreiros, with the letter “C” in its name symbolizing Creativity, Culture, and Communication. The whole building takes its inspirational cue fromdomestic pets, hence structurally looking like a three-dimensional “Persian cat” in an abstract form.

To complement the plan for promoting the long-term development of local cultural and creative industries, the Cultural Affairs Bureau of Macao started to receive bids from October, 2010 to transform the C-Shop into a store dedicated to selling local cultural and creative products. The contract of running the venue eventually went to MO-DESIGN LDA, which opened the high-end, stylish “C,” a store opening on June, 8, 2012.

MO-DESIGN LDA proposed an excellent and comprehensive solution of image and interior design for the C-Shop, where locals and tourists can freely browse to choose from a wide variety of creative products for daily life, created both locally and internationally. “C” exclusively imports high-end fashion brands to cater to the new fashionable rich with a unique taste and longing for superiority. The store showcases the high-end products by international fashion design heavyweights, with each possessing a different style, yet being a top-notch piece in terms of the fashion trend. Moreover, “C” regularly promotes the works by distinguished local designers and sells products by the city’s quality brands.

In addition to organizing exhibitions and activities for local fashion designers, Macao Fashion Gallery will invite creative and iconic fashion designers and brands from abroad to put on display to help local fashion designers exchange with their counterparts from other regions, introduce the latest fashion knowledge and design trends to Macao, popularize local fashion art, and increase the city’s visibility on the Asian or international fashion design scenes.
