Call for proposals of stall operators and creative handicraft workshops from today

August 25, 2020 09:30:00

Highlights

Organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), the “Tap Siac Craft Market” will be held from 20 to 22 November and from 27 to 29 November at Tap Siac Square. To encourage the public’s participation, IC is now calling for proposals of stall operators and handicraft workshops. Interested parties are welcome to submit their proposals.

Inaugurated in 2008, the “Tap Siac Craft Market” has been a platform for cultural and creative practitioners to display and sell their products, and it has become a famous local brand of cultural and creative market. The number of stalls of this edition of the “Tap Siac Craft Market” will be slightly adjusted to prevent epidemic effectively, featuring 110 handicraft and creative gastronomy stalls, showcasing a diverse range of creative products by cultural and creative practitioners from Macao and the mainland. Concurrently, music performances and handicraft workshops will be held for the public to enjoy diversified activities.

Applications for stall operators and creative handicraft workshops are available from now until 11:59pm on 7 September and are free of charge. Stall applicants from Macao may apply online through the “Tap Siac Craft Market” website at www.craftmarket.gov.mo; applicants of creative handicraft workshop may apply either by submitting hard copies or by email. The printed application form can be obtained from and submitted at the reception of the Cultural Affairs Bureau Building, located at the Tap Siac Square, during office hours, while the electronic form can be downloaded from the “Tap Siac Craft Market” website or the Macao Cultural and Creative Industries Website at www.macaucci.gov.mo. If the number of eligible applicants exceeds the quota, proposals of stall operators and handicraft workshops will be selected by drawing lots by IC.

IC will continue to pay close attention to the development of the outbreak, follow the relevant guidelines of the Health Bureau, and make appropriate arrangements for the activities. For enquiries, please contact staff member of IC, Ms. Zhou, through 8399 6289 during office hours.
