The Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym) has set up the Macao Pavilion at this year’s Hong Kong International Film & TV Market (FILMART). IC has cooperated with various departments and public broadcasting entities to organise for local film and television industry practitioners to participate in the event in Hong Kong, with a view to extending the international reach of local productions and services overseas, constructing a platform for exchange and cooperation, and creating more development opportunities.

The 20th China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF) will be held in Shenzhen in late May 2024. The Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym) will organise for Macao’s cultural and creative industries to participate in the exhibition and set up a “Macao Creative Pavilion” to promote Macao’s cultural and creative products and services, so as to facilitate exchanges and development of the industries.

Jointly organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym) and Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG), the “1st Macao International Shorts Film Festival” will be held from 23 to 30 March, featuring an opening ceremony and opening screenings, screening activities, themed workshops, lectures by masters, as well as a closing and award ceremony.

The “Macao.Hengqin Craft Market”, jointly organised by the Livelihood Affairs Bureau of the Guangdong-Macao In-depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin and the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym) of the Macao SAR Government, will be held from 29 February to 3 March, at Ponto Legend Square in Hengqin.

Organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), the Tap Siac Craft Market in spring will be held from 18 to 21 and from 25 to 28 April at Tap Siac Square. The calls for stall operators and creative handicraft workshops will be open from 30 January to 22 February. Applications are free of charge.
