The WFF Youth Film Festival showcases the power of visual and narrative storytelling to address complex agrifood system challenges and promote sustainable development. This global competition invites young filmmakers to explore critical themes such as climate change, sustainability and innovation, highlighting both the pressing issues and the transformative solutions needed for more resilient agrifood systems. By amplifying the voices of emerging storytellers, the festival highlights the impact of film in driving awareness and action. Winners are recognized for their work and given the opportunity to present at the World Food Forum flagship event in Rome and livestreamed around the world, where they can engage with a global audience and contribute to meaningful dialogue on shaping agrifood systems through film.

This is a unique opportunity for young filmmakers to showcase their work on a global stage, participate in panel discussions and connect with leaders. With new categories highlighting key agrifood system issues, the festival celebrates powerful storytelling that drives awareness and action.

Winning films may be screened at the WFF flagship event in Rome from 13 to 17 October 2025.
