The Ark-Association of Macau Art (AAMA) takes great pleasure to present its 2025 Annual Members Joint Exhibition under the theme "Beyond the World of 0 and 1". The first session will be taking place in Carmo Hall at Taipa from November 5 to November 25, followed by the second session at Café Voyage from November 28 to December 12. The exhibition will be gracefully inaugurated with an opening ceremony on November 8 in Carmo Hall.
The theme of this exhibition draws inspiration from the widely discussed topic of artificial intelligence in recent years. In the binary system, 0 and 1 form the foundation of the digital world, evolving from the combination of numbers in the past towards a future filled with innovation and limitless possibilities. Simultaneously, in this era of rapid technological and AI advancement, 0 and 1 are no longer merely cold digits; they also represent the simplest relationships of opposition and coexistence in the human world, serving as metaphors and vessels for emotions and choices in our daily lives.
This exhibition aims to encourage members to utilize new media and technology to showcase diverse artistic expressions and innovative thinking. Beyond exploring the relationship between humans and artificial intelligence in a digitized society, and reflecting on and envisioning today's swift technological advancements, it also invites contemplation and expression of personal complex emotions and concepts through the relationship of 0 and 1. These include "right and wrong," "ups and downs", "love and hate", "gain and loss", and how to overcome the obstacles that hinder our progress.
Through this event, AAMA hopes to engage members and the public to collectively witness the collision and integration of technology and art, and to explore and feel the creative sparks of artists within the context of artificial intelligence.
