Personal Information Collection Statement for the Database for Cultural and Creative Industries

1. The Cultural Affairs Bureau will use the personal information collected for the following purposes:
(1) The information collected will be used to establish an automatic database for the cultural and creative industries. 
(2) The information supplied in form fields marked with a (*) sign on the “Information Collection Form: Macao’s Cultural & Creative Practitioners” will be used for business matching or other applicable matching processes and will be transmitted to authorised recipients in the situations specified in Clauses (1) and (2) of Article 2 of this Statement. 
(3) Personal information collected will be used for communication purposes.
(4) Information collected will be used to create statistics on Macao’s cultural and creative market and practitioners. 
(5) The information collected will be used to conduct current and/or future surveys and/or market research.
(6) The information collected will be used for legitimate purposes aimed at promoting Macao’s Cultural and Creative Industries.
 
2. (1) Until the particulars authorised by you with an asterisk (*) on the ‘Information Collection Form: Macao’s Cultural & Creative Practitioners’ are published in the database, the Cultural Affairs Bureau will not transmit any of your information to any third party without your consent.
(2) After your authorised particulars are published in the database, the Cultural Affairs Bureau may publicly release and distribute those particulars to authorised recipients (e.g.) government departments, commercial organisations, institutions or individuals that have participated in business matching or other applicable matching through the Cultural Affairs Bureau.
(3) In addition to the two clauses mentioned above, the Cultural Affairs Bureau reserves the right to disclose your personal information under the following circumstances as specified by law:
(a) As required by laws and regulations;
(b) As required by legal proceedings brought by the judiciary authorities or other competent authorities;
(c) To protect the properties, rights and interests of the database services and its associated websites; or
(d) To protect the users of database services and their personal safety and the public interests under emergency circumstances.
 
3. Failure to provide information on the ‘Information Collection Form: Macao’s Cultural & Creative Practitioners’ will impede future communication between you and the Cultural Affairs Bureau, the transfer of information to recipients and the circumstances specified in Article 1 of this statement.
 
4. During the process of transmitting your personal information to the authorised recipients, the Cultural Affairs Bureau will utilise appropriate technologies and organisations to protect your personal information and prevent accidental or illegal damages, loss, unauthorised modification, circulation and access to the information, in particular when the information is transmitted over the Internet, and any other form of illegal processing.  You hereby acknowledge that the transmission of personal information over the Internet may lack protection and security and that there is a risk that your information may be accessed or used by an unauthorised third party.
 
5. After completing the “Information Collection Form: Macao’s Cultural & Creative Practitioners” and submitting it to the Cultural Affairs Bureau, you may enquire after and modify your personal information via the staff of the Cultural Affairs Bureau during working hours.
 
6. After your information is published on the database, a new version of this statement may be adopted, which will specify and indicate the date of revision. For further information, please stay tuned to the latest information from the Bureau.
